From June 13 to 15, Kyiv will host ETHKyiv 2025 – the flagship hackathon for those shaping the future of tech. In a time of war and market uncertainty, this isn’t just another event. It’s a statement: innovation doesn’t pause for crises.

At ETHKyiv, ideas turn into products, teams into companies, and coders into founders. It’s where builders find support, partners, and a reason to keep building no matter what.

ETHKyiv 2025 is set to become the biggest event in the history of Ethereum Ukraine – the organisers of the event. For three days, developers, designers, founders, and first-timers will gather under one roof in Kyiv to build, collaborate, and launch ideas into the Web3 world.

But ETHKyiv isn’t your typical hackathon.

Here, it’s not just about hacking together a weekend prototype – it’s about building something real and having its factual growth accelerated. Each team has access to hands-on mentorship, workshops, technical support from leading Web3 companies, and direct pathways to acceleration.

“This isn’t just a few days of coding,” says Rostyslav Bortman, founder of Ethereum Ukraine. “ETHKyiv is more about turning raw ideas into meaningful projects with the right support, the right people, and the belief that it matters.”

At its core, ETHKyiv is a launchpad – a place where projects are born, partnerships are formed, and momentum continues long after the weekend ends. It’s a community-powered ecosystem designed to spark innovation that doesn’t just survive, but thrives.

And it’s not just for developers. ETHKyiv welcomes marketers, designers, analysts, students, and entrepreneurs – anyone ready to shape a self-sustaining Web3 product from scratch.

As part of the broader ETHKyiv ecosystem, Ethereum Ukraine continues to back standout teams with grants and acceleration support. In 2024 alone, over $480,000 in funding was distributed to help launch MVPs, scale solutions, and support early-stage development.

Registration for ETHKyiv 2025 is now open.

About Ethereum Ukraine

ETHKyiv is hosted by Ethereum Ukraine – the largest Web3-community in Ukraine.

Over the past three years, the team has hosted more than 40 events, bringing together over 3,000 builders, developers, and innovators. Hence, ETHKyiv is just one part of a much broader movement.

Among its flagship initiatives is ETHKyiv Impulse – a series of targeted micro-hackathons focused on the most relevant trends in Web3. The latest edition of it was dedicated to Farcaster, the censorship-resistant social protocol enabling app-level integrations directly within posts. An Impulse before it, backed by Zero1 Labs, awarded up to $200,000 in grants to top teams.

Ethereum Ukraine welcomes everyone – from newcomers taking their first steps in crypto to seasoned engineers working on cutting-edge solutions. The initiative is proudly supported by major global players in the Web3 ecosystem, including Ethereum Foundation, Uniswap, Ether.fi, as well as Ukrainian powerhouses Sigma Software Group and IdeaSoft.

One of the defining moments for the community came in 2024, when Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin visited Kyiv at the invitation of Ethereum Ukraine. During ETHKyiv, he met directly with local builders and praised the country’s impact on the global tech landscape.

“There’s no doubt Ukrainians continue to shape this industry in meaningful ways,” – Vitalik Buterin, after meeting with the community.
Friends and supporters of the initiative also include Jesse Pollak, lead developer of the Base network, and dozens of teams now building real products born at ETHKyiv and ETHKyiv Impulse.
