"Mastercard is one of our key and long-standing partners. Together, we’ve already implemented dozens of projects that help businesses and millions of Ukrainians in their daily lives. This new memorandum is another step in our partnership. Together, we will work on improving financial literacy, developing digital tools for entrepreneurs through Diia.Business, scaling card products, advancing GovTech initiatives, and launching cybersecurity projects. I am confident even more important results are ahead,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation.

The partnership will focus on:

  • enhancing the digital maturity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and supporting Ukrainian businesses through the Diia.Business initiative;
  • developing digital products for secure disbursements, digital identification, and access to public services;
  • improving financial literacy among Ukrainians and businesses via the Diia.Education platform and the Mriia app;
  • developing GovTech initiatives in collaboration with the Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv;
  • launching new educational projects on cybersecurity and sharing expertise to foster the growth of the FinTech sector.

“For many years, Mastercard has been working with governments around the world, supporting them on their digital transformation journey. In Ukraine, together with the Ministry of digital transformation, we have been consistently implementing initiatives that contribute to the country’s digital progress, and we are glad to begin a new chapter of our cooperation. Our unwavering focus remains on developing modern digital financial tools for Ukrainians, supporting entrepreneurs, and advancing the digital maturity of businesses. Furthermore, we will deepen collaboration in cybersecurity solutions — a strategically important area for strengthening the resilience of Ukraine’s financial and digital ecosystem,” said Inga Andreieva, Country Manager of Mastercard in Ukraine and Moldova.

Over the years, Mastercard and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have implemented a number of significant joint initiatives aimed at expanding access to digital services and supporting SMEs. These include the launch and further development of the Diia.Business online portal alongside offline consulting centers across Ukraine and opening of the first Diia.Business Center abroad, in Warsaw.

Mastercard also contributed to the development of the financial module within the comprehensive e-Entrepreneur service, which enables entrepreneurs to access a full package of financial tools and services online while registering their business. In addition, the Ministry, Mastercard, jointly with partner banks have implemented several educational and grant programs to support entrepreneurs, including Vlasne (“Own Business”) and Trajectory 2.0.
